What’s Trending on TikTok – May Edition
Tiktok is the fast-paced app that has taken the world by storm. With constant new content, songs and viral challenges, the world of TikTok is always moving and changing. We’re here to help with this month’s recap of what is trending in 3 separate (but related) categories: songs, trends, and branded hashtag challenges.
Top Songs:
ROCKSTAR- DaBaby, Roddy Rich
DaBaby’s newest single, only released on April 17th, already has 562.7K videos using the sound as well as an original dance. The key to success here was a highly catchy song with lyrics that practically ask for a dance to be made with it.

The reason why this dance challenge was so successful compared to others was that it is the easiest dance challenge yet on the app, encouraging maximum participation!

Album Cover Challenge (~800k videos)
The sound for this viral trend has a couple replicates, but aggregated they both equal roughly 800,000 videos! Participants of this trend use meme-like text usually starting out with “When” to relay its relatability. The creator then copies an album cover that is essentially the answer to the meme. This trend is easy for anyone to recreate and is highly creative.
